- One of my prayer requests is for my family to be free from cancer. I pray that I am the only one to go through this and that would be the end of it. If only I could bear this burden for my family.
- Which made me thankful for Christ who bore all of our sins and suffered and died on the cross for us. The burden was so great, He prayed, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42), and even after an angel came to strengthen Him, He was still in “agony” and prayed to the point where his “sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground” (Luke 22:44-45). To bear the sins of all His people! How great Thou art.
- …And when I think of God,
His son not sparing,
Sent Him to die,
I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden
gladly bearing He bled and died
to take away my sinThen sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior, God, to Thee
How great Thou art
How great Thou art… (“How Great Thou Art”)
