Griffith Park Observatory

The delay in visiting the observatory was due to my understanding that there was a hike involved to get to the top. On Christmas Eve, my family and I found out a hike wasn’t necessary if there hadn’t been so many people. A parking lot exists at the top, but on a holiday weekend, there is no parking for a mile or two or more all along the winding roads downhill. An easier method is to take the shuttle from the lot at the bottom of the hill all the way to the entrance of the observatory for a mere 50 cents. But on a holiday weekend, the wait for the shuttle may take 30 minutes or more. Yes, do not go on a holiday weekend.
