It took me many weeks of recycling overriped bananas to push myself to bake “the best banana bread you’ll ever have.” A few things got in the way: a cold, not having bourbon (for the recipe), and the dilemma with all my baked goods — all of it would end up in my tummy because the husband doesn’t enjoy baked goods. With time and another pair of overripe bananas about to go black, I overcame the difficulties and finally made the chocolate chip walnut bourbon banana bread, and it looks/tastes as good as the picture in the original post.
